Hailey Welch: Hawk Tuah Girl’s Age, Net Worth, Where She Is Now

Fifteen seconds of footage from a Nashville street corner turned Haliey Welch — better known as the Hawk Tuah Girl — into a household name in 2024, followed by podcast launches, brand deals, a memecoin controversy, and a return to the spotlight few predicted. Here is what is actually known about her age, net worth, and where she is now.

Instagram: 2M followers · TikTok: 1.7M followers · Age: 20 (born 2004) · Known As: Hawk Tuah Girl

Ten verified biographical data points, but one clear takeaway: the story behind the name is much more complex than a single viral clip.

What happened to Hailey Welch?

How did the Hawk Tuah interview go viral?

Clip Length: 15 seconds · Date: June 2024 · Interviewer: Tim & Dee Group

The entire modern career of Haliey Welch began with a single street interview in Nashville. When asked a specific question, her unscripted response became an instant meme, spreading across every major social platform within hours (iHeart’s Sixteenth Minute of Fame). Before the internet came calling, Welch worked as a shipping manager and inspector at Tennessee Spring and Metal. She was raised by her grandmother in the small town of Belfast, Tennessee (iHeart).

What was the public reaction?

The clip generated millions of views and parodies within days. Welch gained approximately 2 million followers on Instagram and 1.7 million on TikTok in the initial wave (The Tab). The reaction was split: a massive audience found the clip hilarious and endearing, while others questioned the ethics of amplifying a person from a candid street interview. The debate itself only fueled the meme’s reach.

The implication is stark: a single, unscripted 15-second moment entirely rewrote a person’s public identity and career trajectory within days.

Where is Hailey Welch now?

What is she currently doing?

• Hosting the Talk Tuah podcast alongside Chelsea Bradford (Vulture)
• Running a popular YouTube vlog channel covering her daily life
• Actively managing her verified Instagram and TikTok accounts

Welch has transitioned from accidental meme to intentional content creator. Her primary platform today is YouTube, where her channel description frames her mission: “Coming off her unprecedented viral moment and the biggest meme of all-time, Haliey Welch is ready to show the world that she’s much more than a 30 second clip” (YouTube, Talk Tuah channel). She continues to collaborate on digital projects and maintains high engagement on her social feeds.

What projects is she working on?

Welch has outlined several active projects in the months following her return to the internet.

The pattern is clear: Welch’s strategy is diversification beyond the meme. By building a podcast network and moving into traditional entertainment, she is deliberately constructing a portfolio that is more resilient than a single viral moment.

What is Hailey Welch’s net worth?

How much money does she make from social media?

Welch’s exact net worth has never been publicly disclosed. Income streams include social media monetization, sponsored content, and revenue from the Talk Tuah podcast. The original run of the podcast was produced in association with Jake Paul’s sports-betting company Betr (Vulture), though financial terms were never shared.

What are her income sources?

• Podcast advertising and sponsorship from Talk Tuah
• Social media brand deals on Instagram and TikTok
• YouTube ad revenue from vlogs
• Potential merchandise and licensing

The HAWK memecoin, launched December 4, 2024, brought significant financial scrutiny. The token briefly reached a market capitalization of approximately $490 million before losing more than 90% of its value within hours (The Tab). A subsequent investor lawsuit alleged the launch of an unregistered security, though Welch stated in May 2025 that she had been cleared of legal wrongdoing by federal regulators (The Block). The catch is that without official financial disclosure, any net worth figure remains speculative.

The implication is clear: without financial transparency, net worth claims remain speculation.

How old is Hailey Welch?

When is her birthday?

Date of Birth: March 11, 2004 · Birthplace: Tennessee, USA · Zodiac: Pisces

Haliey Aliene Welch was born on March 11, 2004, in Tennessee (Wikipedia, the collaborative encyclopedia). She was 20 years old when she experienced her viral breakthrough in 2024 and turned 21 in March 2025. Her youth was frequently discussed during the memecoin controversy, with some commentators framing her inexperience as a factor in the crypto fallout.

What is her full name?

• Full Name: Haliey Aliene Welch (Wikipedia)
• Known As: Hailey Welch, Hawk Tuah Girl
• Age in 2024: 20

Why the discrepancy matters: the “Hailey” spelling is what spread online, but her legal name is Haliey. This minor inconsistency has fueled questions about how much of the public persona is controlled versus organic.

Is Talk Tuah still going?

What is Talk Tuah?

• A podcast hosted by Hailey Welch and co-host Chelsea Bradford (Vulture)
• Originally produced by Jake Paul’s Betr network
• First run consisted of 13 episodes (Vulture)

Talk Tuah launched in the summer of 2024, featuring a mix of celebrity interviews and internet culture commentary. Its first run included guests such as Whitney Cummings, JoJo Siwa, Mark Cuban, and, notably, a conversation on “How to Avoid Getting Cancelled” — a prescient topic given what happened next (Vulture).

Is the podcast still active?

After a hiatus following the December 2024 HAWK controversy, Talk Tuah returned on April 8, 2025 (Vulture). This new season is produced independently by Welch’s own company, 16 Minutes, marking a significant shift from the Betr partnership. The trade-off here is clear: running her own production means creative control, but it also places the full weight of the brand’s recovery squarely on her shoulders.
